Hello everybody. This was my work for today, We were learning about informal and formal. Informal is a different meaning from formal. Because informal is a way of speaking to your friends with short kinds of words and formal is a email you send like you are applying a job
TASK DESCRIPTION: Kia Orana. This term for inquiry was make it work. First we started in week 3 and made our way to week 7. After that we got a big piece of cardboard and made a prototype bench and drew a lot of thing on it and getting our measuring right. We had lots of struggles but we pushed our way through.
After we finished our prototype we made our way to a big squared wood. When we got our wood we were measuring al lot of things but we started to measure our top of the bench first. It had to be 40cm when we done the we got our legs for the bench ready and got ready to cut it out with a hand saw. Then we got our woods all ready we started to nail and glue them together. The first try we did didn’t go as plan so we removed the nails and tried to take the glue off. So we restarted our bench and tried to put them together again our second try was going well until the glue ran out so all we had was nails. After all of these weeks of trying our best we finally got them in place and right but it was kinda cricket but at least we tried.
So there you have it all about our term 4 make it work.
Today room 1 was doing a test on Prototec and here are my results
SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Flies hovered around the kitchen, looking for a suitable place to land.
Mrs Stevens carefully opened the hot oven and took out the two dozen small cakes inside. They were to be part of a surprise birthday party for her son, who would be home soon from school. After cooling the cakes by the open window, she began to decorate them with icing, cream and ‘hundreds and thousands’. Then she put them onto a large serving plate and took them to the dining table where she covered them with a brightly embroidered cloth over the cakes.
On the table were six cups and a similar number of knives, forks and serviettes. A birthday card with a picture on the front of a large cake with ten candles burning brightly sat at one end of the jarrah table.
Rain began to drip slowly down the drainpipe outside as Mrs Stevens removed her apron and hurried outside to the utility in the tin shed. Soon she was speeding down the rough and bumpy road to the bus stop. She was just in time to see a happy looking Shane waving goodbye to Mrs Johnson, the bus driver. Two minutes later he was even happier as he was joined by his unexpected guests at the dining table while Mrs Stevens began to make preparations in the kitchen for the evening meal.
